This is description
We drive the 2023 Kia Seltos small SUV in turbo automatic GT-Line AWD trim to see if this crossover is a better buy after its recent updates.
The Kia Seltos small SUV has proved extremely popular, both in Australia and around the world. That’s thanks to its good size, practicality, decent driving dynamics and Kia’s long seven-year warranty. But the previous version of the Seltos had a big problem: its laggy DCT automatic.
Well, the 2023 Seltos ditches that old gearbox for a traditional eight-speed torque converter auto which is paired with its 1.6-litre turbo petrol four-cylinder engine that is now more powerful (146kW or 195 hp), and AWD. There is also still a FWD 2.0-litre non-turbo engine with a CVT.
The Kia Seltos competes with the Mazda CX-30, Hyundai Kona, Volkswagen T-Roc, Skoda Karoq, Subaru XV and other small SUVs or subcompact crossovers.
