30 hours bogged, a snapped diff and a coast run that nearly ended it. Shaun Whale and the crew sit down and open up on everything that went sideways in the Kimberley. The full uncut story.
No filter this time. The boys go back through the trip beat by beat and tell you what the cameras didn’t: the rain that wouldn’t stop, 30 straight hours stuck in the mud, and the call to scrap the plan and run for Barra Camp. Pete’s first ever Kimberley trip threw him straight in the deep end. Then it was Drysdale River, Tim from STEDI running his 200 Series setup, and a stretch where things finally went smooth, right up until Shaun snapped a diff in the worst possible spot.
Getting to the coast was its own mission, the early morning fishing paid off, and then came the drive the crew are already calling the Great Drive of 2026. Somewhere in the middle of all of it, they were one bad decision away from getting a chopper on the phone. We’ll let them tell you how close it got.
